Ex – present for upto 20 days, from 21-30 days etc. In the same company for a single employee combination of daily and month wage components can be present. Some components shall have daily rate, some components shall have a monthly rate. OT has very dynamic rules. Different clients will have different OT rules. Different rates for working on weekly off, different rates for national holidays and different for festival holidays and on regular week days. OT for different clients can be paid either as a fixed amount or a client can have a specified rate. OT can be posted in a User Specified earning head. There can be a separate Bank Transfer for OT. Any many more such challenging scenarios are what JSM team correctly understood and then configured accordingly in JSM Payroll Software and successfully implemented the project. Ministry of Labour and Employment has increased the scope of Employee state insurance act, 1948 vide notification dated 06.10.2016. Now employee taking salary up to Rs 21,000/- (increased from 15,000) are covered under ESI ACT, 1948. Notification is given below. This Notification is applicable from 01.10.2016. The ESIC board also decided to give an option to existing insured persons (IP) to continue their membership even if their salary raises the limit of Rs 21,000 per month. Currently, all those insured (IP) under the ESIC scheme lose their ESI membership as well as that of the insurance cover if their salary/wage raises over the limit.
