Right from inception our focus has been on developing standards and quality guidelines in its entire Software Development Lifecycle. We at JSM follow follow the following standards

1. Business Process Study: JSM does a complete exhaustive business process study for each client and each project and does comprehensive documentation and flowcharting of all business processes. This enables any person working on the project to correctly and fully understand the project. Moreover this also ensures that in case of any employee leaving we do not have to worry that he only understood the system and his leaving would affect the project. With proper documentation the project does not have any heroes and become a people independent project.
2. Requirements Study: Again JSM does a complete requirements study meeting all users of the system and this is properly documented. This again helps any person in the project and also the new person joining the project to understand the requirements fully and completely.
3. SRS: Software Requirement Specification: This completely documents the architecture of the system. This is the most important document for the development team and any new person can fully understand the system after reading this document.
4. Testing Guidelines: We follow exhaustive testing guidelines and have documented procedures for the same.
5. Coding Standards: We have developed over a period of time an exhaustive 100 pages + manuals which guide all developers on Coding Standards that all developers in JSM are supposed to follow. All developers hence can understand any other code just by looking at since all developers follow a similar standard. These standards cover Language as well as Database standards.
